Alieda is a second-year MLIS student at Dalhousie University. She currently acts as the web administrator for the School of Information Management Student Association (SIMSA), and is also an Editorial Chair for the Dalhousie Journal of Interdisciplinary Management (DJIM). Her professional interests lie in public librarianship, especially collections and web development, community outreach, and emerging technology. Her passion lies in broadening public access to information. 

Originally from Vancouver Island, Alieda loves science, literature, the great outdoors, and the Internet. Her dream is to someday own enough land for an orchard and a kitchen garden.
